The Nestucca River was our destination today in search of sea-run cutthroat trout and salmon on the fly. While the salmon fishing left something to be desired the trout fishing was exceptional when we found concentrations of fish. Many nice fish were landed, some around 16in, all on streamers and egg patterns. The salmon fishing on the Nestucca River is going to get better when we get a substantial amount of rain.
