Oregon Coast Fishing Report: December 23, 2009
My brother is visiting from Eastern Oregon for the holidays so of course he had to get his winter steelhead fix and it couldn't have happened on a better day. The Nestucca was in great shape for fly fishing and we managed to hook some fish. It seemed every boat we spoke with had success today. The highlight of the day was the hooking of the seasons largest steelhead, a fish that kept the rod bent to the cork for a long time and turned out to be a beautiful native hen around fifteen pounds. The fishing just keeps getting better. Give me a call to take advantage of some great fishing.
